About me
My name is Lauren Thomas, I am a self-taught baker and adventurer wannabe with a love for all things cake. I first started baking when I was 6 years old, having been inspired by my grandmother, and soon fell in love with having the ability to put a smile on someones face simply from eating something I had made. I am a firm believer that a slice of cake and a cup of tea can cure just about anything, and so far this ethos has served me well.
I began to take baking more seriously in my early teens, which came as a result of Home Economics lessons at school and too much spare time on my hands (perks of being socially awkward ). Due to the insatiable appetites of the girls in my boarding house, I started to bake up to 5 times a week. This, in time, no doubt helped improve my skills until I reached a stage where people would offer to pay for my cakes! And thus in 2015 my business 'Pure Indulgence Bakery' was born and I haven't had the chance to even think about looking back. Since then I have baked more cakes than I could have ever imagined and most importantly, put smiles on hundreds of faces.
My hopes of being an adventurer sadly are far more unrealistic, however I thought that this little space of mine would be a perfect platform to share my travel anecdotes both now and in the years to come.

So here we are, after months of deliberation, hard work and countless cups of tea, I finally have a little corner of the internet to call my own. I hope you enjoy it as much as i do.
